its over.

struggled through trainings after reporting back to training from imf. fitness dropped like hell. can't find the time to train on myself. sry teammates, for skipping tranings.

participated in the sava sprints international over the weekend. came in 2nd for grc race. a lil disappointed though. i could have done better if i didnt skip rowing sessions. guess we gave our best. none of us seems happy coming in second. anw, its a small race. we're jst out for exposure.

if you think race day is meant for race, thn ure wrong. waking up at 7 in the morning.. going to bedok reservoir for race.. next was kallang for sea training.. and thn back to bedok reservoir to observe how teams from other countries row.

totally shagged after this 2 days. sat was bad. first, we came in 2nd in our heats, jst missing out on first position by 0.03sec. second, rowing at kallang was bad. shoulder kinda gave in halfway through rowing. and for the 2hrs of rowing, i heard my name more than 20times.

boon! stretch out more.
boon! check your timing.
boon! be snappy.
boon! focus.
boon!
boon!
boon!

kinda cut short on some of the stuffs cause i DONT WANT to get into trouble again with all these blog thingy. i hope i didnt leak out anything about how we train.

anw, today's rowing was rather okay. im lucky to be in the senior boat. its not because its lighter cause the seniors know the technique and have more strength, its because they'll tell you immediately everytime u make a mistake. its pressurizing you see, from "perfecting" strokes to using more strength over distance. but its all worth it. what doesnt kill me makes me stronger yea?

someone told me this,

" seriously, why we row so fucking hard in the race?"
"becos.. the person beside you, is rowing his shit out for you becos he knows you will do the same for him"
"all i know is, losing is not what i train for."

lets train harder freshies!
