Team Hak consisting of Tp rowers came charging from behind to win the Men’s open grand finals of the Penang Pesta Dragonboat Race 2006 held at Tanjung Burda, Penang.
They showed that size doesn’t really matters as team Hak challenge for the ultimate grand finals trophy with the bigger, stronger and more experienced opponents. They bounced back after crashing in the junior finals, crossing the line in 4th position.
It was my first oversea’s competition and im lucky to have won that gold medal. It was the best race in my first year of dragonboating. Good job guys! Congrats to Team Noobs for winning the women open.
Now that everythings over, ill be back in training soon. Next target would be the golden cookie in the POL-ITE games. Train hard guys. We can do it!
